Earlier this month, CMS added the SNF QRP Provider Threshold Report to the QRP reports available in the QIES system.  Using this report, providers will have more detail and clarity to the status of the required data needed for meeting APU compliance.  If the SNF completes 100% of required data elements on at least 80% of the MDS assessments submitted for that program year, they meet the “threshold” for compliance and avoid the 2% reduction in Medicare payments.  Failure to submit the required data will result in a two-percent point reduction in the SNF’s APU.

Avoid the 2% Reduction in APU

• Add QRP as a focus to your regular QAA/QAPI process
• Become familiar with QIES and the available Reports
• Pull your FY 2020 SNF QRP Provider Threshold Report
